He was predeceased by: his wife Jerry; his aunt Lottie; his mother Erna; and his brother Joe. He is survived by: his siblings, Rose, Elke and Johnnie; his children, Peggy, Tammy and Dieter Jr.; his grandchildren, Dyana, Keelia, Jeffrey and Nadja; and his great grandchildren, Sarah, Wyatt, Leif, Gunnar and Addison.
