He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Ragain and Frances Ragain; his former wife Carolyn Ragain; his sister Rozanne Ragain; and his stepson Marcus Salazar.
He is survived by: his wife Carmen Perez Ragain of Castroville, Texas; his sons, Robert and Brian Ragain; his stepchildren, Ernest Salazar, William Pickthall (Paloma Pickthall) and Veronica Salazar; his stepgrandchildren, Jacob Martinez, Kateline Pickthall, Kaylee Pickthall and Kimbella Pickthall; and his cousins, Mike and Linda Cowell. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
