She is survived by: her children, Jennifer S. Garza (William) of San Antonio, Rebecca Alvarado of San Antonio and David G. Alvarado of San Antonio; her siblings, Marty Salazar (Robert) of Uvalde and Roy Perez (Pat) of Uvalde; her daughter-in-law Rebecca Cardona of San Antonio; and her grandchildren, Brittany Salas Lopez, Deserae Salas, Michael Mendez, Pete Cardona, Craig Cardona, Nicole Cardona, Anjelica Garza and Alyssa Garza. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (408 Fort Clark Rd, Uvalde, TX 78801). A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
