We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2023, at the age of 90, Deacon Johnny R. Pleasant Sr. of San Antonio, Texas, born in McGregor, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deacon Johnny R. Pleasant Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillary Pleasant and Ora Bernice Mackey Pleasant; and his sister Ora Lee Jacobs. He is survived by: his spouse Dee Pleasant; his children, Johnny Ray Pleasant, Jr. (Karol), Kenneth Pleasant (Tracy), Sonja Calvillo, Tamika Horn and Thaddeus Horn (Deja); and his siblings, Richard Pleasant (Mabel), Stanley Pleasant, Betty Ross, Willie Dean Hawkins, Wesley Smith and Reginald Williams. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and two special friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Conquerors Assembly Benevolent Fund in the name of Deacon Johnny Pleasant.
