It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Herman Lamkin Sr. (San Antonio, Texas), who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Edna Lamkin; and his siblings, J. D. Lamkin (Bessie), Gertie M. Wilson (Woodrow) and Gloria Jenkins (Alfred). He is survived by: his wife Blenda Lamkin; his children, Aaron Woods, Vanessa Lampkin and Herman Lampkin, Jr.; his grandchildren, Tyris Franklin, Javen Woods and India Byrd; and his siblings, Berta Wilson (late Paul), Robert Lamkin Jr. (Shirley), Alvin Lamkin (Erica), Frances Jackson (Gordon), Mary Holmes (Bruce, Sr.) and Steven Lamkin. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and family friends.
