It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Jon Gangestad (San Antonio, Texas), who passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Darlene Catherine Gangestad (Duncan) and Ernest Marvin Gangestad; his sister Karen Ann McCord; and his niece Dena Catherine Pestolis. He is survived by: his children, David Jon (Jennifer Lane) and Nicole Andrea (Sean Michalec); his grandchildren, David Jon Gangestad (Mildred), Ryan Raymond Moore and Kyle Raymond Moore; his great grandchild Noah Jon Gangestad; his sister Judy Miller; his niece Cheryl Olson; and his nephews, Jon Hartowicz and Christopher Pestolis.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to the DAV or Gary Sinise Foundation, reflecting David's passion for helping other veterans.
