Colonel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Timothy Connolly and Catherine R. McDermott Connolly; and his siblings, Patrick of Pittsburgh, PA and Mary Lu Seelig of Wilmington, DE.. He is survived by: his wife Connie of San Antonio; his children, Catherine Lyssy (Kenneth) of Hallettsville, Maureen Rutherford (Hollis) of Mullin and Michael F. Connolly, Jr. of Waco, Texas.; his grandchildren, Jeffery Rutherford, Stephen Rutherford, Matthew Lyssy and Melanie Lyssy (Noah Reddy); and his great grandchild Carter Lyssy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home (1016 Lorenzo St, Castroville, TX 78009). A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Louis Catholic Church (1306 Angelo St, Castroville, TX 78009).
Memorials may be made in Mike's memory to the Air Force Village Charitable Foundation.
