With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Schattenberg (San Antonio, Texas), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on December 25, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brother George Marks Jr.; and her granddaughter Shannon Gaffney. She is survived by: her children, Herbert John Schattenberg III (Linda), Cathy Gaffney and Karen Sommers (Henry). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
