She is survived by: her parents, Cynthia Jackson and Mark Hempe; her husband Steven Paulsen; her children, Michael Johnson, Christopher Paulsen, Caille Marshall (Grant), Connor Paulsen and Kate Paulsen; and her sister Devon Hempe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a college education fund for Brienne's two youngest children, Connor and Kate, in Brienne's memory.
