She was predeceased by: her parents, David Vargas Sr. and Estella Flores Guerra; and her stepfather Arturo Guerra. She is survived by: her husband Santos Herrera; her children, Valerie Herrera-Smith (Brent Smith Jr.), Art Herrera (Jose C. Herrera), Anthony Herrera and Loretta Herrera; her grandchildren, Jezabelle R. Herrera and Aidan Velasquez; and her siblings, David Vargas Jr., Sylvia Aguirre and Hilda Valdez. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
