It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Faye Spencer (San Antonio, Texas), born in Devine, Texas, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Loise M. Crutchfield Thompson and Robert Dibrell Thompson; her husband Fred John Spencer; and her brothers, Robert and Dibrell Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, John Spencer, Jr. (Sue) and Belinda Mooring (John); and her caregiver Cadet. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
