With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ayanna Jamie Aisha Mayfield of San Antonio, Texas, born in Cleveland, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2024. She was predeceased by : her father James Earl Samuels; her nephew Jeffrey Sims; and her pet Ace. She is survived by : her mother Maureen McIntyre Samuels of East Cleveland, Ohio; her spouse Vanessa Mayfield of San Antonio; her son Jeramyah Samuels of San Antonio; her stepson Samuel Cameron; her siblings, Joylyn Winter of Gaithersburg, Marcia Winter of Cleveland, Jazz Samuels of East Cleveland, Ohio, Christopher Baldwin of San Antonio and Micah Samuels of East Cleveland, Ohio; her nieces and nephews, Maya, Jonathan, Sydney, Brandon, Bryce, Brianna, Bianca and Christopher, Jr.; and her pet Princess.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home (1016 Lorenzo St, Castroville, TX 78009). A memorial service was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
