She was predeceased by: her parents, Gorgonio Moran and Josefa Alacron Moran; her husband Antonio Chavez; and her son Richard Paul Chavez. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Moreno, David Chavez and Cynthia Ruiz; her grandchildren, Patricia Arriaga (Alex), Ruth Moreno (Thomas Rodriguez), Gregory Ruiz III (Maria), Michael Ruiz (Jenny) and Joseph Ruiz; her great grandchildren, Adriana Gonzalez (Joshua), Lucio Antonio Arriaga, Samuel Rodriguez, Juliet Arriaga, Joshua Ruiz, Noah Ruiz, Hannah Ruiz and Mikayla Ruiz; and her great great grandchild Carolina Gonzalez.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (159 Camino Santa Maria, San Antonio, TX 78228). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
