She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Olivares and Amelia Olivares (Manuel O. Vargas); and her sisters, Eva O. Jackson, Mary Louise Velasquez and Vera O. Mayers.
She is survived by: her children, Robert L. Vargas (Diana), Johnny P. Vargas, Roland M. Vargas, Edward J. Vargas (Rosemary), Gloria V. Ponce, Sylvia V. Barrientes (Carlos) and Cynthia V. Gamez (George Jr.). She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
