He was predeceased by: his parents, Verda Tankersley Shaw and Joe Shaw Sr.; and his sister Janet Faye Middlebrook. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his brothers, Dr. Joe W. Shaw Jr. of Mertzon and Dr. Terry D. Shaw (Anne) of Broomfield, Colorado.; and his daughter Katherine Shaw Cox of San Angelo. He is also survived by family, he is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
