He is survived by: his wife Gaynell Cox Wilhelm; his children, Holly Sullivan, Noelle Spieker (David) and Brett Wilhelm; his daughter-in-law Kathlene; his grandchildren, Katie Pittman (Missouri), Bo Spieker (Ashley), Nathan Neill (San Angelo) and Natalie; his great grandchildren, Keaton, Kayla, Kassidy, Emerson, Chloe, Drew, Sara, Tyler, August and Wyatt; his great great grandchild Liam; his nephew Jim Bob Harris (Laura); his niece Christy Dorr (Matt); and his cousins, Denise Fox and Kathy Moseley (Steve). He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
During the pandemic he made many pot holders and face masks to sell and donate.
