Linda Rhodes wrote a sympathy message

“Deepest condolences and prayers to the family. Richard was a mountain of a man with the kindest heart. Enjoyed working with him at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo for over 30 years. He definitely left his mark on the place with all his work on the ground, midway and Buffalo Social Club. He will be missed but his legend lives on. Rest in peace, it's greatly deserved!”
