He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl King and Evelyn King (Eaton); and his sister Carolyn Wilkins. He is survived by: his children, Robbi (Pete Pena) of Brownwood, Tracy King of San Angelo and Michael King of San Angelo; his grandchildren, Ryan Pena, Andrew Pena, Cole Phillipus, Shelby Phillipus, Raigan King and Victoria Reumert; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Pena, Ryan Pena Jr. of Brownwood, Presley Phillipus and Kinsley Phillipus of San Angelo.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel (402 Rio Concho Dr, San Angelo, TX 76903).
He bravely battled Chronic Kidney Disease, receiving a kidney donation from his daughter Tracy in 2018, who always jokingly reminded him that he now had girl parts.
