She was predeceased by: her mother Susie Bauerlein Smetana; her husband David Murell Gist; her son James Christian Gist; and her brother J. L. Hyatt. She is survived by: her father John L. Hyatt; her daughter Mary Catherine Gist Ott of San Angelo; her daughter-in-law Mary Jane Gist of Coleman; her son Michael Gist (Shelia) of San Angelo, Texas.; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Beck, Tasha Nicole Adcock, Lacy LaMontagne, Abra Gist, James Zachary Gist, Gavin Gist, Jennifer Gist and Kimberly Gist; her great grandchildren, Hayden Beck, Saya LaMontague, Caleb Hernandez-Gist, Kayden Gist and Kendall Sanchez; her cousin Richard Bauerlein of San Angelo; and her nephew John Hyatt of Fort Worth.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harper Funeral Home (2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, TX 76904). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens (San Angelo, TX 76905).
