He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Cerda and Eva De La Cerda; and his brothers, Daniel De La Cerda and Armando De La Cerda. He is survived by: his wife Lucy De La Cerda; his children, Jamie Flores (Jennifer) of San Angelo, Ryan Herrera of San Angelo, Rene Herrera of San Angelo and Corina De La Cerda of San Angelo; his grandchildren, Eva, Christian, Brandon, Aiden and Fabian; and his siblings, Joe De La Cerda (Rachel) of Uvalde, Elia Fuentes of San Angelo, Inez Mendoza (Lucio) of San Angelo and Adela Shelburne (Kent) of Christoval. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Viewing was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel (402 Rio Concho Dr, San Angelo, TX 76903). A rosary was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (7 W Ave N, San Angelo, TX 76903).
