He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Hinson and Leon Hinson; and his siblings, Edith Rodgers and Johnny William Hinson. He is survived by: his significant other Shirley West; his daughter-in-law Judy; his children, Sherryl Chandler and Jim; his daughter-in-law Brenda; his son Craig; and his daughter-in-law Susan of San Angelo.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at the Belmore Baptist Church (1214 S Bell St, San Angelo, TX 76903). Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shaffer Funeral Home (1939 Sherwood Way, San Angelo, TX 76901). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Belvedere Memorial Park (3504 Arden Rd, San Angelo, TX 76901).
His work ethic and integrity were evident to all who knew him, and his contributions to his community were numerous and impactful.
