He is survived by: his wife Gail Childress; his children, James Childress Jr., Tracy Honea and Gary Childress (Estrella Childress); his grandchildren, Cortni, Austin, Sierra (Tyler), Justus, Madisen, Emma, Ellie and Evie; his great grandchildren, Parker and Titus; and his siblings, Billie Wunderl, Brenda Olson and Johnny Childress (Connie).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Glen Meadows Baptist Church (6002 Knickerbocker Rd, San Angelo, TX 76904).
