He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry William Allen Sr. and Hazel Loraine McNut. He is survived by: his stepfather Earl Carrol McNut; his wife Dorothy; his children, Sherry Payne, Dee Banta and Shane Allen; and his stepsons, Jimmy Ray Coates, Michael Lynn Coates, Edgar Allen Coates Jr. and Jason Jackson.
