Clarence Buford James Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2025, at the age of 88, Clarence Buford James of San Angelo, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry James Sr. and Katy Bell James; his siblings, Melvin James, R. L. James, George James Jr., Katy Chambers, Dorothy McClure and Hazel Magness; his son Thomas Buford James; and his grandson Christopher Thomas James.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Katherine James; and his children, Kyle James (Kathy), Bruce James (Katie), Butch James (Melissa) and Charles "Chuck" Hardgrave (Melissa). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and countless extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harper Funeral Home (2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, TX 76904). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Buck's memory to the Children's Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas.
