It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ann Root in San Angelo, Texas, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ann Root to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid adieu to Ann's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Ann has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dyson Sykes and Eve St. Claire Sykes; and her sibling Chris Sykes (Valerie). She is survived by: her siblings, David Sykes (late Anne) and Mary Sykes (late John Foster); her brother-in-law Tom Root (Mary); her children, Benjamin Root (Claudia) and Jennifer Shook (David); and her grandchildren, Victoria, Jonathan and Christopher Shook. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
