With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lyda F. Gray (Saltillo, Texas), who passed away on February 2, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lyda has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her mother Iva Dell Whitten (Holder); her husband Jack Gray; her parent Jabez Whitten; and her children, Kelly Gray and Janet Weber.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Moore of Abilene, TX and Chris; her daughter-in-law Mary Gray of Flint, TX.; and her close friend Linda O'Neal. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandsons, numerous extended family.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Old Saltillo United Methodist Church (664 Co Rd 3357, Saltillo, TX 75478). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Old Saltillo Cemetery (664 Co Rd 3357, Saltillo, TX 75478).
