He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Speir and Willie Speir; and his sister Evanda Speir. He is survived by: his son Matthew Speir of Jason Speir; his stepchildren, Freddy Booker and Leslie Morgan; his grandchildren, Raegan Speir, Rowdy Speir, Grant Speir, Audrey Speir and Bailey Booker; and his siblings, Samuel Speir, Charles Speir, William Speir, Jan Hurst and Mary Mantooth.
