He is survived by: his wife Sarabeth Tippit; his children, Lisa Gonzales (Andy), Larry Tippit (Sandra) and Clif Tippit (Sondra); and his grandchildren, Haley Avery, Kelly Filsinger, Jennifer Welch, Richard Tippit (Ricky), Justin Tippit, Lindsey Kelley, Erica Muniz and Lara Esquivel. He is also survived by twenty-two great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
