He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Leroy and Alta Sue Bruton Tippit; and his brothers, Roy Tippit, Billy Gene Tippit and Ray Tippit.
He is survived by: his wife Sarabeth Tippit; his children, Lisa Gonzales (Andy), Larry Tippit (Sandra) and Clif Tippit (Sondra); and his grandchildren, Haley Avery, Kelly Filsinger, Jennifer Welch, Richard Tippit (Ricky), Justin Tippit, Lindsey Kelley, Erica Muniz and Lara Esquivel. He is also survived by twenty-two great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Scott's Funeral Home (2425 E Main St, Gatesville, TX 76528). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Restland Cemetery (2201 Waco St, Gatesville, TX 76528).
