It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janell A. Goertz of Saint Hedwig, Texas, born in Bastrop, Texas, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Denis Goertz; her parents, Louis Goertz and Mary R. Goertz (Beck); and her sister Janice Friske. She is survived by: her children, Linelle Schnuriger (Francis), Kathleen Goertz, Brother Harvey Goertz, Robert Goertz, Beverly Bentley and Bruce Goertz (Wendy); her grandchildren, Melanie Schnuriger (Glen), James Schnuriger (Tiffany), Justin Goertz (Elizabeth), Zachary Goertz (Simona) and Cody Gleason; her great grandchildren, Lilly, Lucy, Gabrielle, Channing, Bellamy, Asher, Augustus and Sigfrieda; and her sister Mildren Ann Moore.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Finch Funeral Chapel (13767 US Hwy 87 E, Adkins, TX 78121). A rosary will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (14011 FM 1346, St Hedwig, TX 78152). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Annunciation BVM Catholic Cemetery (14011 FM 1346, St Hedwig, TX 78152).
Memorial offerings may be made to Annunciation of the BVM St. John Paul Center.
