It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie Naoma Pearce of Sadler, Texas, born in Abilene, Texas, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jessie Willard Huffman and Naoma Huffman (Grounds) of Sadler, TX.; her sister Chlorie; her grandparents, Daniel Webster and Sarah Grounds; her aunts, Mattie and Ruth; her husband Richard Pearce; her son Dan; her sons-in-law, Jim Brown, James, Kearns and Lee Ponder; her granddaughter-in-law Rochelle; her stepgreat-granddaughter Raven Loehr; and her grandchildren, Rylander, Paula Brown of Sherman, Ginger Gray (John) of Rockport, Sue Ponder of Denison and Dick Pearce (Arlene) of Burnet. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She lived from the horse and buggy age to the space age, and from the Spanish Flu pandemic in 1918 to the current Co-vid pandemic, avoiding both illnesses.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Grace UMC, 2800 Canyon Creek Drive, in Sherman.
