He was predeceased by: his daughter Melanie; and his parents, Howard Eugene Burlew Sr. and Betty Mae Burlew (Brackeen). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Davis Burlew; and his children, Cassandra, Anthony, Rachel, Russell, Benjamin and Lindsey. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
