He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Monroe Carter Sr. and Corynne Anna Miles Carter; and his siblings, Mary Jane Graham, Aubrey Carter and Archie Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Pavlik of Sabinal; his sons, Wayne Carter (Jennifer) of McDade, Dean Carter (Amy) of Bayside and David Carter of Sabinal; his siblings, Elsie Andrews of Amarillo and Monroe Carter of Sabinal; his sister-in-law Linda Carter of Round Rock; and his granddaughters, Bailey Reid (Eddie) of San Antonio, Hannah McFarlen (Leelynn) of Corpus Christi, Emmalee York of McDade, Raelynn Carter of Sabinal and Ellie Carter of Bayside.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist of Sabinal and/or Hummingbird Hospice.
