She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Densmore Hardin and Mary Lou Hardin (Capps); her husband Douglas Wayne Breeland; her son Kevin Andrew McCowan; and her brother Jessie Hardin Jr..

She is survived by: her son Charles Breeland of Rye; her niece Anna Russell (Stanley) of San Antonio; her nephew Jeffrey Hardin of Texas; and her grandchildren, Faith Butler (Michael), Cyndi Breeland, Denver Breeland, Amie O'Bannon (Bryan), Rebecca O'Bannon (David) and Elizabeth O'Bannon.
