It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Yarbrough of Rye, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Jimmy may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his son Jimmy Yarbrough Jr.; and his brother F. L. Yarbrough. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Yarbrough of Rye, Texas; and his children, Larry Yarbrough (Lynda) of Liberty, Texas, Kathy Mitchell of Livingston and Kim Durdin of Rye, Texas. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel (406 N Yaupon Ave, Livingston, TX 77351). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
