He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Louis Nicol and Edith Frances Schlobohm Nicol; his son William Dean Nicol; his daughters-in-law, Debra Darlene Chance Nicol and Sherrie Lynn Foster Nicol; his siblings, John Louis Nicol, Connie Jeane Minning Nicol, Carl Everett Nicol, Nancy Arlene Nicol Evans, Marcus Eugene Evans and Milton Eugene Nicol; and his brother-in-law John Wayne Nagy.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Louise Meyer Nicol; his children, Herman Earl Nicol, Edith Mae Nicol Fudge, Jimmie Don Fudge, Lena Louise Nicol Linton and Leonard Edwin Nicol; his sisters, Alma Joyce Nicol Nagy and Frances Louise Nicol Wiles (David Ross Wiles); and his friends, Ray Nelson, Clarence Miller and Allan Hall. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
