It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Summers Clark Hassell in Rusk, Texas, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jesse Hassell and Amy Audral Wallace Hassell; his mother-in-law Mary Brunette Page; and his brother-in-law Charles Lester Page. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Eileen Page Hassell; his son Kevin Hassell (Lauren); his grandsons, Ryan Jesse and Brady Connor Hassell; his nieces, Melody Page (Lauri Laufman), Connie Miserak (Mark) and Polly Lowery (Andrew); his nephew Jake Miserak (Meagan); his great-nephew Miles; his nephew Jantzen Miserak (Ariana); his nephews, Jace Miserak, Luke Lowery and Logan Lowery; and also Emerson Summers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the A. Frank Smith Methodist Church (131 Cooper St, Alto, TX 75925). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends memorial donations be made to either A. Frank Smith Methodist Church in Alto or The Arbors Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Rusk.
