He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Hinson and Gertrue Hinson; and his sisters, Jo Glover, Debbie Butler and Penny Hinson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Nicole Brasher (Terry), Janet Pierce and Liz Hinson (Brian Westbrook); his grandchildren, Jon, Chloe, Hannah, Gabe, Bailie, Gracie and Silo; and his sister Donna Blakemore (Charlie).
