With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry T. Acker of Rusk, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Truman Acker and Katherine Wysick Acker; and his siblings, Bernice Blackmon, Judy Munsinger and Roy Junior Acker.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Marie Acker of Rusk; his children, Jerry Lee Acker (Kelli) of Rusk and Becky Raymond of Tennessee Colony, TX; his granddaughter Gina Cleek; his great grandchildren, Madison and Alivia of Palestine; his sons, Andrew Treme of Robstown, TX and Dusti Boltz (James); his grandchild Kane of Palestine; his great grandchildren, Dakota Acker (Rachel) of Jacksonville and Kaitlyn Argenbright (Chris); his great great grandchild Faelyn Nash of Palestine; his sister Janet Motley of Palestine; and also Hollyn of Rusk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home (221 W 5th St, Rusk, TX 75785). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers are permitted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
