He was predeceased by: his daughter Donna Sloan; and his siblings, Charles Phifer, Carl Wendell Phifer and Nellie McClure. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Beasley Phifer of Rusk; his daughter Lloyd Powell; his son-in-law Deborah Powell of Rusk; and his grandchildren, Larry Austin Sloan of Rusk, Randy McKay of Longview, Sara Banks of Rusk and Kristen Powell of Rusk. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
