He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Glen and Bertha Clara (McNorton); and his brothers, Bill, Fred, Alton, Dee, Donald, Pat and Dan Havens.

He is survived by: his wife Alma Swink; his brother David Havens; his children, James Havens and Melissa (Tim King); and his grandsons, Justin Pitman and James King. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
