He is survived by: his children, Margaret Hargrave of Alto, TX and Wayne; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Cummins of Rusk; his daughter Sandy Shirley of Porter, TX; and his sisters, Genevie Posival of Dallas, TX and Adeline Holder of Caldwell, TX. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren.
