He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Carroll Creel and Letha Fay Atkinson Creel; his siblings, Carroll Wayne Creel, Billy Ray Creel, Jeanie Creel and Mary Tobias; and his grandsons, Dilynn Edward Creel and Jace William Creel.

He is survived by: his children, Edward Lee Creel (Brittney) of Pollok and Melissa Ann Pedroza of Victoria; his siblings, Jerry Lee Creel (Sheila) of Rusk and Delores June Key (Bubba) of Rusk; his grandchildren, Logan, Ashley, Elizabeth, John, Rudi and Mia; and his great grandchild Clayton.
