He was predeceased by: his parents, Estes Clapp and Vera Lou Clapp (Moore); his wife Gladys; and his sons, Rocky C. Clapp and Jay Bowers.
He is survived by: his children, Odessa Carter (Richard), Estes Clapp (Janis) and Dixie Ellis (Russell); and his sister Helen Sims. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
