She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Benjamin and Ethel White Grindle; her husband Roy Atkerson; her children, Vivian Hodges, Nelda Scroggins, Charles Taylor and Bobby Taylor; and her siblings, Joe Grindle, John Grindle and Judy Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Cleo Acrey, Becky Durrett, Kathy Christie, Joy Lofton, Betty Proctor and Crystal Elder; her brother Rusty Grindle; and her sister-in-law Thelma Grindle. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
