He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Etheredge and Ernest Etheredge of Sweetwater, TX.; his sister Ernestine; and his brother-in-law Jay Covington. He is survived by: his wife Shelta; his children, Tina Murrell (Mark) and Alan Etheredge (Amy); his grandchildren, Todd Murrell, Blake Murrell, Mark Alan Murrell, Lauren Etheredge and Slade Etheredge; his great grandchild Kaleb Murrell; his brother Edwin Etheredge; and his sisters-in-law, Nelta Moake and Shirley Boykin.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Hospice of East Texas located in Tyler, TX, and to Bobby Tosh for the upkeep of the cross.
