He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul F. Hofmann and Bertha Lange Hofmann; and also Jonathan. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hofmann of Runge, Texas; his sister Lillie Mae Lamprecht (Willie Lamprecht) of Kenedy, Texas; his children, Paul (Barbara) of Bastrop, Caryn Hofmann of San Antonio and Dione McDowell (Brian) of Schertz, Texas; his grandchildren, Daniel Hofmann (Katie) of Fredericksburg, Michael Hofmann (Stacy) of Houston, Timothy Hofmann of Kerrville, Sam McDowell and Karalie McDowell; his stepsons, David Hackney (Sherry) of Baytown, Kent Hackney (Shirlene) of Kenedy and Jay Hackney (Pat) of Kenedy, Texas; and also, Lindsey (Kyle), Emily (Michael), Jessica (Miguel), Tyler (Martha), Kyndle, Mason, Olivia, Jordan, Taylor, Noah, Victoria and Bentley. He is also survived by friends, nieces, nephews, in-laws, former co-workers.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Runge, Texas or the American Cancer Society.
