He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Roy and Iva Emma Hand (Laxton); and his brothers, Alton Roy Hand, Glenn Ray Hand, Forrest Eugene Hand and Richard Earl Hand.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Vermell Logan of Runaway Bay; his children, Sara Harris (Robert) of Haslet and Ben Hand (Kenzie) of Canon City, Colorado; and his sister Edna Sue Novotny of Victoria. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
