He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Wesley and Mary Lou Whitson (Ferris); his son Troy Shawn Whitson; and his sister Maxine Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Allegra Whitson; his children, William Jeffery "Jeff" Whitson and Vickie Denise Brown (Rodney); and his sister Mary Fite. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
