It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Cruz-Alcorta Castillo in Royse City, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Ignacio Cruz and Maria Candelaria Cruz; her husband Bernardo Castillo; and her siblings, Ernesto Cruz Sr. and Maria Cruz-Vasquez.

She is survived by: her sons, Bernardo Jr. (Esther), Juan Carlos (Venessa), Ricardo (Claudia), Enrique and Miguel Angel (Yvette); her grandchildren, Destiny Yvette, Juan Carlos, Isabella, Bernardo Cruz, Natalie Celeste, Emily Samantha, Katherine Lauren and Michael Patrick; her great grandchild Ethan Alexander; and her siblings, Norma DeAnda, Sylvia Garza, Diana Cruz, Santa Morado, Ramon Cruz and Sonia Day.
