She was predeceased by: her husband Junious Banks; her brother Hasten Hammond Jr.; her sister-in-law Jeannie K. Loving; and her sister Nellie Wade Coleman. She is survived by: her children, Jimmie Lee Banks, Anthony Ray Banks, Charlene Sharpe, Carolyn Franklin, Alecia Lewis (John Lewis) and Lorrie Coleman; her sister Dorothy Mae Dorsey; her niece Jennette Davis; her aunts, Dorothy Burton and Clara R. Toney; and her grandsons, David Jackson, Roderick Adam Jackson and Joshua Wade Jackson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rowlett (3701 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088). A burial will be held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the DFW National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
